We train on our brand new purpose built courts at Redborne Upper School

Year 4 - 9.30am - 10.30am

Year 5 - 8.30am to 9.30am

Adult – 7:30pm – 9pm

Above training times are for the 23/24 season, times may change for the 24/25 season.

What should I wear to training?

For your taster session/first session, wear leggings and a t-shirt or hoodie, depending on the weather.

Minis either wear their own clothes, or their purple match top.

Junior, Youth and Adult wear the blue training top, available to purchase from Prestige.

We also ask that players always have their hair tied back, jewellery removed and wear suitable footwear.

What should I bring to training?

We ask that you bring a full water bottle, a waterproof jacket and any relevant medications/inhalers.

After your first couple of sessions, most coaches ask that you bring a named netball. It would be impossible for us to store as many balls as we need at training, as we often have over 100 players training at once.

Where should I go for my taster session?

Below is a map of our courts. Your admin will inform you which court your taster session is taking place on.

What should I wear to league matches

At the league we wear our match kit, details of which can be found in the Kit FAQs section.

What should I bring to league matches

We ask that you bring a full water bottle, a waterproof jacket and any relevant medication/inhalers.

Please leave your netball at home, you definitely won't need it as our coaches bring enough and it is only likely to get lost.

Any further questions about the league may be answered by the Junior League Parents Guide on the documents page. If that also doesn't help, contact your coach or admin who should be able to help.

KIT

Training Kit?

We have kit available to purchase for training, from Prestige.

Minis mostly wear their purple match t-shirt.

Junior, Youth and Adult all wear the blue training top.

We also ask that players wear no jewellery (including earrings), have their hair tied up, and have suitable footwear.

Match Kit?

Within your club membership, you are given your match kit in years 3,5,7 and 9. If it is outgrown within those 2 years, you can purchase a new kit directly through prestige designs.

Purple T-Shirt - Minis

(Can be personalised for £2.50).

Skort and Top - Year 5 and 6

Dresses - Years 7 and 8, Youth.

(Please note, dresses can be purchased in order to be personalised).

Optional Extras

There are many optional extras available to purchase from Prestige.

Most choose to purchase a hoodie, which has the option for personalisation.

Some also choose to purchase a bag to take their stuff to and from training.

What trainers should I buy?

Most trainers are suitable for netball, as long as they have a 'turned up toe' and good ankle support.

This means that trainers like Converse, Nike Airforce 1s, and Jordans aren't ideal, as the rounded toe increases the chance of players tripping and falling over.

We particularly recomend Asics and Mizuno, although any running trainer is perfectly fine. If you want more advice don't hesitate to contact your year group's coach.

Purchasing

All of our kit can be purchased through Prestige Design in Flitwick.

EQUIPTMENT

What size ball should I purchase.

Size 4 netballs are for those under the age of 10.

Size 5 netballs are for those over the age of 10.

What height should my post be at?

Years 3 and 4 will use a 8ft high post.

Years 5 and 6 will use a 9ft high post.

Years 7 and up use a 10ft high post.

This advice may change, as the league sometimes have the posts at 10ft for all age groups.
